During my final semester at UMD, I took a research sociology course called Researching the Middle East where we spent the first half of the semester learning about the history and demographics of different countries in the Middle East. For the second half of the semester we were separated into groups where each group utilized SPSS to research a different specific country in the Middle East. My group was assigned Lebanon. This project was kind of difficult because not only were we learning how to use SPSS through Zoom, but it was also a group project where it was extremely hard to keep in contact with other group members. Unfortunately I had to do the majority of the work for this project, but it was really fun learning about the Middle East! Please use this link to view our final presentation.
