Moving to Philadelphia

View from my apartment

Since I will be attending the University of Pennsylvania starting at the end of August, I moved to Philadelphia, PA mid-July. Since my move-in I have done two trips out to the West Coast and started a part-time job waitressing at a pizza place, so I've been very busy and have had a very limited opportunity to explore the city so far. Even though I grew up only 2 hours away in Columbia, MD I for some reason never came to Philly, so at least there is a lot for me to see. I moved to Center City where there are a lot of activities and I am really excited to meet new people, try some great food, and see some cool history. This is my first time living in a big city so I did not know what to expect. However, so far I am really enjoying my apartment and location. My walk to school is about 30 minutes, which sounds long but I am very used to after walking just as long at UMD. So far I've had a few of my friends and my dad visit which have been really fun!
