Universal Pre-K

After coming to the Fels Institute of Government, I have become extremely passionate about education and housing policy. Through a lot of research I came to the conclusion that Universal Pre-K is a necessary policy. Education is one of the most important aspects of American life, as it can greatly affect ones overall life course. Unfortunately, many Americans do not have equal access to affordable and high quality education, further stratifying our society, leaving marginalized communities behind. Universal Pre-K can offer free early education to all American children, giving each child an equal playing field and a better opportunity for lifetime success.

Since I have become very interested in UPK, I decided to write my final law paper and presentation on UPK. Additionally, I wrote a more economic-focused policy brief supporting UPK for my Econ final. Below, you will find both of these papers.
